ELECTROCORP 9475 AH and 9975 AH - PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Offering broad spectrum air cleaning with customizable individual components, both the Electrocorp 9475 AH and the 9975 AH air purifiers are superb choices for whole-home air cleaning in larger houses of up to 2500 sq. ft. Although the modular filter system in these Electrocorp 9000 Series air purifiers allow for custom-tailored air cleaning solutions, in their standard configuration, each model offers exceptional air cleaning for a wide range of common pollutants. In addition to pollen, dust, mould spores, pet dander, dust mite by-products and other airborne particulates, the Electrocorp 9475 AH and 9975 AH air purifiers also handle many of the harmful chemicals and toxic gases found in the average home (e.g., fumes from household cleansers and personal care products, combustion gases from heating/cooling systems, ozone and off-gassing from computers and other electronic equipment), as well as unwanted odours.

The Electrocorp 9475 AH and 9975 AH whole-house air purifiers feature a powerful, four-stage filtration system that begins with a 1” tar-trap pre-filter (2” in the 9975 AH) to effectively capture larger particles before they can enter the HEPA and carbon filters, thus sustaining the life of these more expensive filtration components. During the second filtration stage, air passes through a 2” medical-grade HEPA filter (4” in the 9975 AH) that eliminates 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.3 microns. The third stage consists of 15 lbs. of activated MAC-B™ carbon (30 lbs. in the 9975 AH) to remove gaseous pollutants and unpleasant odours. The fourth and final filtration stage uses a 1” pleated post-filter (2” in the 9975 AH) to capture any remaining particles, including inert carbon dust that may be released by the granular carbon in stage three.

Electrocorp 9475 AH and 9975 AH whole-house air purifiers incorporate a unique slotted-tray design that allows for easy filter changes. All of the filters can be changed by simply opening the hinged door on the unit, sliding the old filter out and sliding the new one in. Each filter is completely separate and replaced only when necessary. The modular design also permits the 9475 AH model to be upgraded at a later point in time by adding an additional HEPA or carbon filter for enhanced performance.

Both the Electrocorp 9475 AH and the 9975 AH whole-house air purifiers can be purchased with several options to further extend their filtration capabilities:

• Vocarb carbon filter. The activated carbon in this filter is specially impregnated to provide better adsorption of formaldehyde, benzene, vinyl chloride and other Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) produced by common household products, newly-built or renovated homes, paint, flooring, carpets, upholstery, drapery and electronic equipment, as well as art and hobby materials. • Customized carbon blends. Various specialty carbon blends are available to deal with specific chemical and gas issues (e.g., ammonia, chlorine, ozone, phenol). A common configuration for the 9975 AH, which accommodates two carbon filters, is to use one regular carbon filter and one specialty blend. • UV lamp. Adding an optional 10 or 20 watt germicidal ultraviolet (UV) lamp to the 9000 Series air purifiers provides added protection from bacteria, viruses and other airborne pathogens, which are sterilized as they pass through the unit. The UV models will also eradicate mould spores, as opposed to simply capturing them in the HEPA filter.
