The HealthPro Plus is IQAir’s best selling room air cleaner and has received more #1 reviews than any other air purifier on the market. By combining four advanced filtration technologies, the IQAir HealthPro Plus effectively removes a variety of particulate and molecular airborne pollutants. This air purifier is especially suitable for asthma sufferers as they are often sensitized to molecular irritants such as chemical fumes, fragrances and harmful gases such as ozone and formaldehyde, as well as to common allergens such as pollen, dust, pet dander, mould spores, combustion particles and tobacco smoke. In addition, the HealthPro Plus boasts the only consumer HEPA filtration system on the market capable of controlling the smallest airborne bacteria and viruses without the aid of a UV lamp.

The IQAir HealthPro Plus air purifier features a PreMax™ large capacity pre-filter made of wet laid non-woven glass microfibre, mini-pleated with a total surface area of 25 sq. ft. This pre-filter alone is 99% effective at removing particles such as dust, pollen, mould spores and pet dander down to 5 microns. The pre-filter is designed to significantly extend the life of the more expensive HEPA and activated carbon filters, and should be replaced every 6 to 18 months depending on the concentration of contaminants in the room.

The IQAir HealthPro Plus incorporates a patented HyperHEPA™ technology developed for hospitals and multi-million dollar clean rooms to filter airborne particles down to a remarkable 0.003 microns in size, with a guaranteed minimum effectiveness of over 99.5%. This exclusive technology allows the IQAir HealthPro Plus air purifier to trap particles 100 times smaller than those captured by ordinary HEPA filters, including the smallest viruses and bacteria. The HyperHEPA™ clean room-quality filter is made of wet laid glass microfibre, mini-pleated with solvent-free separators, making it the most advanced HEPA filtration technology available for home use. The IQAir HealthPro Plus is the world’s first room air purifier with filters certified under the most stringent filter standard EN (European Norm) 1822. The life of this filter is 2 to 4 years depending on the concentration of contaminants within the room.

The V5-Cell™ used in the IQAir HealthPro Plus contains 5 lbs. of activated carbon and alumina impregnated with potassium permanganate to control a wide spectrum of gaseous chemicals, dangerous Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and unpleasant odours. This two-stage filter uses granular activated carbon adsorption to eliminate many hazardous VOCs and odours. In addition, pelletized chemisorption is used to more effectively handle specific chemicals, such as formaldehyde, through an oxidation process inside a chemically active alumina pellet. To maintain its effectiveness, this filter should be replaced every 1 to 2 years.

The IQAir HealthPro Plus air purifier features a modular housing design that enables easy replacement of each filter element in a matter of seconds. The two locking arms simply release, and the top diffuser is removed, allowing access to the individual frames that hold the filters. Because the pre-filter, HEPA filter and carbon filters are all separate, they can be changed at different time intervals, making the IQAir HealthPro Plus economical to operate.

By positioning the fan motor in the centre of the air purifier, between the filters rather then after the filter stages, the IQAir HealthPro Plus is able to offer superior noise absorption. A unique double-walled housing design and eight vibration-absorbing rubber pads also help to make this unit relatively quiet while operating at peak efficiency.

The IQAir HealthPro Plus air purifier is also engineered for superior air gathering and delivery. Air is gathered at dual arches at the base of the unit, while an exclusive 320 degree Evenflow™ air output located at the top of the machine provides exceptional air circulation throughout the entire room. This design also virtually eliminates the problem of “shortcutting” (i.e., newly filtered air being immediately re-filtered) that occurs in some air purifiers when the air outlet and intake are positioned too closely to one another.

A full control panel features an intelligent filter life monitor that indicates the status of each filter, as well as a programmable timer to adjust air flow rates throughout the day. The IQAir HealthPro Plus features six fan speed settings to allow total control over the air flow and can be operated from the control panel or via the remote control unit that is included with the unit. The housing for the IQAir HealthPro Plus is made of non off-gassing, impact resistant, UV-stabilized ABS material for safety and durability. It also has a built-in handle, and is supplied with a set of casters for even greater maneuverability. Available in one colour only, the main housing of this air purifier is light grey with white locking arms.
