Both the Blueair 403 HEPASilent air purifier, and the more advanced Blueair 450E HEPASilent digital model, are engineered to not only be effective at removing airborne pollutants such as dust, pollen and mould spores, but to be quiet, energy efficient and stylish at the same time. Using revolutionary technology, Blueair 403 and 450E air purifiers are capable of capturing particles three times smaller than traditional HEPA filters can, providing improved filtration of hazardous, lung-penetrating particles such as ultra-fine dust, combustion particles, fine ash and even airborne bacteria.

Exclusive to Blueair air purifiers, HEPASilent technology combines mechanical filtration and electrostatic principles to achieve outstanding air cleaning that outperforms medical-grade HEPA filters alone. As room air is drawn into the air purifier by an ultra-quiet fan, an internal ionizer exerts a negative charge over the incoming particles, ensuring that they adhere effortlessly to the positively-charged filter material. By using a three-stage filter with progressively smaller pores, Blueair HEPASilent air purifiers are able to achieve remarkable air cleaning results, capturing an impressive 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 microns.

To maintain optimal air cleaning performance and ensure warranty coverage, the filters in Blueair 403 and Blueair 450E air purifiers (both HEPASilent and SmokeStop models) must be replaced every 6 months. The convenient magnetic filter replacement indicator supplied with Blueair 403 models, and the built-in LCD display on Blueair 450E models, will remind owners when it's time to change the filter. The filter itself can be replaced in about 30 seconds. Just open the door of the air purifier, remove the old filter, slide the new one in, and close the door. Fast and simple!

Blueair 450E air purifiers are the same as the Blueair 403 models in all respects, except that they have LCD displays and state-of-the-art electronic controls. Independent dust and odour sensors control the Blueair 450E air purifier in Auto Mode, adjusting fan speeds to automatically handle detected particulates, chemicals and odours in the air. ‘E’ models are also supplied with a wireless remote control unit for timer functions and manual adjustment of air flow rates from up to 20 feet away.

Built for years of reliability, the Blueair 403 and Blueair 450E air purifiers have all-steel housings that are powder-coated for endurance and protection, without any chemical off-gassing. In addition to their zero ozone emission, all Blueair air purifiers are constructed from environmentally friendly parts and recyclable materials. When discarded, the filters decompose and the filter media converts into harmless carbon dioxide and water.
